Group Lead Counselor
Pattison's Academy is seeking a passionate and driven Lead Counselor to join our summer camp team. Reporting to the Camp Director and Assistant Camp Director, this position will be responsible for facilitating a 4-week camp program for participants with multiple and severe disabilities. As a Lead Counselor, you and a Co-Lead would supervise a group of counselors assigned to the group, while ensuring that our camp programming is individualized to the needs of your campers.
Qualifications:
Must have experience working with individuals with disabilities
Minimum of 2 semesters of higher education with a focus on one or more of the following: Education, Therapy (SLP, OT, Physical), Medicine, Psychology
Minimum of one year of supervisory or leadership experience
Licensed Practical Nurse
Pattison’s Academy is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse, pivotal to supporting the mission of the academy. Reporting to the Chief Programming Officer, this position is primarily responsible for supporting the medical needs of the children who attend our charter school and summer camp programs. As an essential member of the health services team, this position works collaboratively with staff and families to ensure the health and safety of the individuals we serve. Additionally, this role requires flexibility, teamwork, and attention to detail to ensure the smooth delivery of healthcare services throughout our programming. Nursing supervision will be provided by Pattison's Registered Nurse following state licensure requirements.
Behavior Supports Teacher Assistant
Pattison’s Academy is seeking a behavior support teacher assistant for the 2026-2027 school year. The teacher assistant is pivotal to supporting the mission of Pattison’s Academy. Reporting to the Principal, this position works closely with the special education teacher to support the learning environment for children with multiple disabilities and high-support behavior needs in grades K–12+. Our interdisciplinary model provides seamless education, medical, and therapy services in the classroom environment, so our children have every opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma (minimum)
Experience with children with disabilities preferred
Strong preference for candidates holding a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or those with experience implementing behavior intervention plans
Special Education Teacher
Pattison’s Academy is seeking a special education teacher for the 2026-2027 school year in a behavior support/autism classroom. The special education teacher is pivotal in supporting the mission of Pattison’s Academy. Reporting to the Principal, this position works closely with other educators, parents, and support staff to create a comprehensive learning environment for children with multiple disabilities in grades K – 12+. Our interdisciplinary model provides seamless education, medical, and therapy services in the classroom environment, so our children have every opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Master’s in Special Education
SC State Board of Education Certification in Special Education – Intellectual Disabilities, Severe Disabilities, or Multi-Categorical.
Experience working with children with multiple disabilities preferred
Camp Counselor
Pattison's Academy is seeking a passionate and driven Summer Camp Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for campers and ensuring our camp programming is individualized to their abilities. Counselors will be assigned to a group of no more than 6 campers under the supervision of a Lead Counselor.
Qualifications:
Must be 18+ years old
