Keeping the PACE is a three-hour stationary bike ride-a-thon hosted at our school in West Ashley, and our largest fundraising event of the year. This high-energy, interactive charity drive gives Pattison’s patrons a first-hand look at the positive impact directly generated by their support.

Ride alongside friends, neighbors, and the very children your contributions empower as we come together to celebrate their achievements and progress made throughout the year. By supporting this event, you will help a child start reading at age 10, walk up and down the hall for the first time at age 18 or speak their first words at age 21.

We hope to see you on Saturday, March 26, 2022! Together we can make a lasting impact in the lives of each child that we serve and empower the family members who love them most.

Keeping the PACE FAQs

  • Keeping the Pace (KTP) is an annual fundraiser benefiting Pattison’s Academy. It is a ride-a-thon taking place on stationary bikes. All proceeds from the event impact our children and allow us to carry out the therapeutic and education programs at Pattison’s Academy.

  • Keeping the Pace will take place at Pattison’s Academy on Saturday, March 26, from 9 a.m. to noon. The address is721 Wappoo Road, Charleston, SC 29407. Participants should plan to arrive at 8:30 a.m. for registration.

  • The event is free, but we strongly encourage fundraising to raise $500 per bike you would like to reserve for your team.

  • Reserve a bike by starting a fundraising page and emailing your team name to ktp@pattisonsacademy.org. Your team will be required to raise $500 per bike you would like to reserve. Please make sure to email us at ktp@pattisonsacademy.org to ensure you have reserved your bike(s)!

  • You can ride solo, or have as many riders on your team as you would like! If you have multiple riders, they can take turns riding the stationary bike while cheering each other on. The more the merrier!

  • No! You are absolutely welcome to fundraise on your own or make a tax-deductible donation to Pattison's Academy in support of our largest fundraising event.

  • Fundraising Tips & Tricks!

    • Remember you only need ONE fundraising page per team.

    • Have your team members all share the same page to reach the $500 fundraising goal to reserve your team's bike.

    • When sharing to social media, emphasize that KTP is Pattison's BIGGEST fundraiser of the year and the one time you will ask for support!

    • Ask your friends and families to share your page with their networks to appeal to an even larger audience.

    • Little goals make a huge impact! Make a specific ask, for example, "If everyone could give $10, that will help me reach my goal!"

    • Repetition is key! Keep asking, you never know who might see your post.

    • Change and update your photos regularly to keep content fresh.

    • Mention and tag those who have given in your posts to thank them for their support!
